A unique 200 kWh energy storage system was installed for a renovated housing district in Woerden, the Netherlands. The project is part of BAM’s and Stedin’s innovative Rennovates project, focused on developing smart energy-based communities resulting in energy-neutral housing by reducing energy consumption and maximizing the use of renewable energy. On April 25th & 26th Mondragon presented Rennovates on the 9th Forum (2018) on Urban Intelligence and Sustainability (Malaga, Spain). Rennovates was one of the examples of Mondragon’s strategies for Smart Cities presenting R&D activities and technological developments for the near future.
