MONDRAGON Corporation is a cooperatives alliance composed by mutually independent cooperatives which through a voluntary membership establish a coordinated group.
These group´s corporative services lay on Mondragon S. COOP, who is also an independent cooperative society. MONDRAGON participation in international activities two of its most characteristic traits in recent years have been its firm commitment to the internationalization of its activities and its priority focus on innovation. MONDRAGON Corporation leads REnnovates Spanish demo site, scaling up demonstration of the Project Holistic systemic approach. MONDRAGON´s objective is double, aiming to demonstrate the replicability and exploitability (with market interesting paybacks) of the REnnovates integral solution supported by a large scale ICT advance analytics and control interoperable platform that mitigates the impact on to the grid of zero-energy districts.
Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa (MGEP) is the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon University (MU), i.e. the Engineering Faculty. The three main activities in this faculty are Teaching Engineering (about 1.800 students), Training to the industry (about 11.000 hours per year) and Research (around 14 M€/year, about 17 European projects and more than 40 international agreements). MGEP is a cooperative integrated in MONDRAGON Corporation.
The main objective of MGEP within the REnnovates project is focused on contributing on the elaboration of the best business models for the REnnovates concept in Spain. Also contribute on the design of the Spanish energy module providing support on the technical work packages. Finally contribute on the definition and development of the ICT platform necessary to collect and monitor energy consumption/generation in the demonstrator.
